Donation of sewing machines to the special school of Brazzaville.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Objectif jeunesse 20 association (OJ20) on December 24th 2023 handed over fifteen professional sewing machines to the Brazzaville special school. The donation aims to strengthen the work of the center's sewing and carpentry apprentices.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aware of the difficulties faced by the special school of Brazzaville, remedial school, which trains young Congolese who have been unable to pursue their academic studies due to physical or mental disabilities, dropping out of school or lack of means.That the OJ20 association was keen to share its love, support and light towards school learners by offering them professional sewing machines to contribute to their training, while hoping for good results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs Lauren Lemboumba, in her capacity as Vice-President of the Objectif Jeunesse20 association, leading the delegation, made the following statement: This learning center does an excellent job of remedial education, and therefore deserves to be accompanied and supported. \"Please accept these machines as a symbolic gesture of encouragement, in the hope that they will help you in the present and future training of your students\".<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Pour la Directrice de l\u2019\u00e9cole sp\u00e9ciale, la s\u0153ur Maria Dolores<\/strong>For Sister Maria Dolores, director of the special school of Brazzaville, the donation comes at the right time, as the school is often faced with a deficit (or insufficiency) of equipment for the three establishments located in Brazzaville. This will not only allow us to complete our stock of equipment, but also to strengthen the work of the students in better conditions. \u00ab \"On behalf of all the staff of the special school and our students, I'd like to thank you for thinking of us when you shared your goods. The sewing machines are very necessary for our sewing workshop. And I hope that this first meeting will enable us to help each other in the future for the benefit of our young people,<\/em> \"<\/strong>she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The special school of Brazzaville is a remedial school that has been providing education free of charge since 1975 to the most marginalized children in the Congolese school system. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This includes children who are physically or mentally disabled, those who have dropped out of school or are lagging far behind, and children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The primary goal is to help the child regain self-confidence and accept the challenge of catching up mentally or academically. The school encourages students to develop fundamental skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic at their own pace. Additionally, free tuition is provided and technical workshops are offered to train students in various trades.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The school currently has about 2,000 students in three locations in Moungali, in the 4th district, and in Mikalou and Talanga\u00ef, in the 6th district. In all three locations, children, adolescents and adults have the opportunity to receive vocational training at their own pace and to pursue their dreams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
