SIGNING OF THE PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT AND LAUNCH OF THE QUALIFYING TRAINING COURSES

Technical, Technical, vocational and skill-based training is one of the three pillars of Objectif Jeunesse 20, along with integration and reintegration, reflection and advocacy. Following the implementation of its program of activities, after a successful fundraising. On September 16, 2021, in the conference room of the AOGC building in Brazzaville, a partnership agreement was signed between Objectif Jeunesse 20, led by its president, Allison LEMBOUMBA, and the Don Bosco Vocational Training Center, represented by its director, Brother Remy NKANKU, in order to officially launch the qualifying training for the beneficiaries of this program.

This partnership between the two organizations focuses on technical, vocational and skill-based training for young Congolese, with the aim of promoting apprenticeships in high employability professions, contributing to the development of a real strategy for guiding young people towards skillbased training in line with the professional world, setting up training programs adapted to the needs of the job market, and much more. In this way, Objectif Jeunesse 20 wants to give the Congolese youth an unparalleled socio-economic life, so that they become the epicenter of Congo's development.

Established for a period of two (2) years, renewable by tacit agreement, this agreement is the concrete expression of the action plan of the association Objectif Jeunesse 20, a plan that reflects its vision, as Allison Lemboumba states in her speech: "As a member of civil society, it is our duty to play an active role in the qualification and training of young people, which is a major concern for our country, Congo, and we have already set out to find reliable partners to achieve this". Today's activity bears witness to our vision of having qualified, responsible socially and professionally integrated young people.

In the same way, Brother Rémy NKANKU, who supports the vision and the sacrifice of the O.J.20 Association, appreciates the willingness of the young people to embark on the path of professional training. This is what he says to the beneficiaries: "Blessed be, the young people, who have accepted to be trained to become skilled workers. As we're used to say, give us a young person who is willing, and when he leaves our vocational center, he will become a professional. It's true that the training period is very short, but everything depends on the willingness of each one of you to be trained”.

Concretely, the skill-based training program launch will help young Congolese people between the ages of 15-35, from precarious social backgrounds, from low-income families, who have not been able to flourish in the school system or who have graduated with a low employability profile. The first wave of beneficiaries will have a training stay from 6 to 9 months in automobile mechanic, building electricity, cooling, air conditioning, and pottery.

Present in the room, the beneficiaries did not hide their satisfaction with the opportunity granted to them by the Objectif Jeunesse 20 association. On this, they clearly expressed their gratitude in interviews given to the Congolese press.

Thanks to this partnership with Don Bosco, the OJ20 association is committed to accompanying the finalists in their socio-professional integration through internships in companies and assistance in the creation of micro-enterprises.
