TRAINING AND SOCIO-PROFESSIONAL INTEGRATION OF YOUNG CONGOLESE PEOPLE
As part of its project Training and socio-professional integration of young Congolese, the Association Objectif Jeunesse 20 signed, on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, a partnership agreement with the company Industrie du Congo (INDUCO). This initiative aims To strengthen the vocational training and professional integration of young Congolese, while meeting the skills needs of the national industrial sector.
This initiative falls within the framework of the main mission of the Association Objectif Jeunesse 20, created in 2020 under the coordination of its president, Mrs. Allison Lemboumba, whose goal is to raise funds to finance the technical and professional training of young people in precarious situations and to promote their socio-professional integration. The association thus works to improve the employability of young people and actively contribute to the socio-economic development of Congo.

Objectives and modalities of the partnership
The agreement signed with INDUCO, specialized in the manufacture of foams and mattresses and soon in the production of shoes, aims at the training and professional integration of 100 young Congolese, in compliance with national labor legislation. The training covers several strategic technical and professional fields: • Machinery operation • Commercial trades • Building electricity • Electromechanics • Assembly and mixing of products Faced with an exceptional number of registrations, the association organized the interviews from August 4 to 6, 2023, at the Lycée de la Révolution, after having recorded more than 4,000 applications. This strong demand has highlighted the precariousness of employment among young Congolese and the need to multiply these initiatives.
- Machinisme
- Commerce

Results obtained
After nine months of training, more than 110 young people have been integrated into the targeted professions, with fixed-term CNSS employment contracts. Given the growing demand and expansion of INDUCO’s activities, the association has expanded the program to include professions related to the manufacture of plastics: chairs, shoes, sandals, plates, etc.
Thus, the number of trained and integrated beneficiaries has increased to more than 260 young people. Some have taken up positions of responsibility within INDUCO, illustrating the effectiveness of the partnership and the potential for enhancing local skills. This initiative has also generated strong national enthusiasm, attracting young people from several cities in the Congo.

The results also demonstrate the relevance of the actions carried out by Objectif Jeunesse 20, both for young people and for the national economy, by promoting an inclusive, responsible and sustainable approach to professional integration.

Prospects

- Continue to expand its training and professional integration programmes.
